RANCHI, India, April 24 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on March 24:

1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the State and learned counsel for the respondent-JSSC.

2. The petitioners claimed for appointment on the post of Intermediate Trained Sahayak Acharya (Class-I to V) in the category of para teacher.

3. During course of argument, it has been jointly submitted by both the parties that except the petitioner No.6, namely, Gopal Thakur and the petitioner No.7, namely, Basant Kumar Rana, none of the petitioners have obtained more than the last selected candidate in the category of the petitioner.

4. Considering the said submission, no relief can be granted to the petitioners except petitioner Nos.6 and 7.

5. Since the other two petitioners i.e. petitioner No.6, namely, Gopal Thakur has obtained 207.06055966 and petitioner No.7 has obtained 158.61687133, which is more mark than the other last selected candidate in the category of EBC-I Para Teacher, I direct the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order.

6. So far as the rest of the petitioners are concerned, since the process of appointment is continuing, if any candidates in the category and subject of the petitioners, obtained lesser marks is recommended for appointment, the petitioners will approach the respondent-JSSC for appropriate relief. In that event, the respondent-JSSC will pass an appropriate order.

7. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
