RANCHI, India, Nov. 30 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Oct. 30:

1. Heard the parties.

2. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Lawalong P.S. Case No. 36 of 2024 corresponding to POCSO Case no. 50 of 2024 for the offences registered under Sections 448, 341, 323, 325, 354, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the POCSO Act, pending in the Court of learned Special Judge (POCSO), Chatra.

3. On 05.06.2024 at about 11:00 pm, co-accused Mahtab Alam had entered into the house of the informant and tried to outrage the modesty of her daughter. The informant and his family members chastised him. Thereafter, he went home and came along with his family members and assaulted the informant and others.

4. It was submitted that the only allegation against the petitioner is that he had gone to the house of the informant with the co-accused Mahtab Alam. It was further submitted that there is case and counter case for the same occurrence and both the sides have sustained injuries.

5. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge (POCSO), Chatra, in connection with Lawalong P.S. Case No. 36 of 2024 corresponding to POCSO Case no. 50 of 2024.
