RANCHI, India, Feb. 22 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Jan. 20:
1. One interlocutory application has been filed being I.A. No. 9436 of 2025, copy thereof has been supplied to the learned counsel appearing for the respondent-wife.
2. The present interlocutory application has been filed for disposal of the instant appeal [F.A. No.84 of 2024] in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties vide settlement agreement dated 20th May, 2025 particularly as referred in para-4 thereof, for ready reference, para-4 of the settlement agreement is being reproduced hereunder:
4. That the First Party has agreed to pay a total settlement amount of Rs. 21,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty-One Lakhs only) for the benefit and welfare of their son Arnav Pradhan, aged 8 years and the second party. The amount shall be paid in the following manner:
(i) 1st installment: Rs.3,00,000/- paid on 20.05.2025 before the Mediator at JHALSA.
(ii) 2nd installment: Rs. 7,00,000/- at the time of filing mutual divorce that is on 22nd of May 2025.
(iii) 3rd installment: Rs. 7,00,000/- at the time of second motion in the divorce case.
(iv) 4th and final installment: Rs. 4.00.000/- when both the pending cases in the High Court (First Appeal No. 84/2024 and Criminal Revision No. 309/2024) are disposed of.
(v) That the First Party shall return all articles listed in Annexure-1 (Streedhan and personal belongings of the Second Party) within one week from the date of execution of this agreement. These shall be handed over to a person duly deputed by the Second Party, who will acknowledge receipt.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondentwife is having no objection.
4. Leave is being granted to withdraw the appeal and accordingly, the appeal stands disposed of.
5. In consequence thereof, the instant interlocutory application also stands disposed of.
