RANCHI, India, June 6 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on May 6:
The objection filed by Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned P.P. is accepted.
Heard Mr. Vikash Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned P.P.
This appeal has been preferred against the order dated 12.12.2024 passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Seraikella in B.P. No. 288 of 2024 in connection with Chandil P.S. Case No. 248 of 2024 whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.
It has been alleged that the appellant had indulged himself in dealing with fake currency notes and from his possession, seven fake currency notes of Rs. 500 and two fake currency notes of Rs. 200 were recovered.
The appellant is in custody since 04.11.2024.
Regard being had to the period of custody undergone by the appellant, we, while setting aside the order dated 12.12.2024 passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Seraikella in B.P. No. 288/2024 in connection with Chandil P.S. Case No. 248 of 2024, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Chandil in connection with Chandil P.S. Case No. 248 of 2024.
This appeal is allowed.
