RANCHI, India, June 12 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on May 11:

1. Heard the parties.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the land of the petitioner has been utilized for construction of public road without initiating any process of acquisition. He submits that he has already represented before the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi. He prays that a direction be given to the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi to look into the grievance of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order.

3. Learned counsel for the State does not opposes the aforesaid prayer.

4. Considering the aforesaid submission, I direct the petitioner to file a fresh representation along with all the documents before the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, who will dispose of the application of the petitioner as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Re-settlement Act, 2013 and proceed accordingly, as per law.

4. It is expected that the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi will take a decision within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order along with the application of the petitioner.

5. With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
