RANCHI, India, Dec. 11 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 11:
1. By way of present writ application the petitioner has prayed for setting aside the order dated 24.05.2019, passed by the Inspector General of Police, Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF Imphal, Manipur (Respondent No. 3) and thereafter, for direction upon the respondents to promote the petitioner from the post of Head Constable (Ministerial) to Assistant Sub-Inspector ASI (Ministerial) for which the petitioner is legally entitled.
2. Yesterday, when the case is called out none appears for the petitioner. Today again an adjournment has been sought for by the petitioner.
3. It is pertinent to mention here that though in the counteraffidavit it has been mentioned that process for promotion is going on, today, Mr. Prashant Pallav, learned ASGI assisted by Ms. Niki Sinha, learned CGC representing the respondent-UoI has produced an instruction wherein it has been indicated that the petitioner has already been promoted to the rank of ASI/M w.e.f. 18.06.2020 and presently, posted in 64th Battalion.
4. The said instruction is taken on record.
5. In view of this factual position, it appears that the grievance of the petitioner has already been redressed.
6. Accordingly, the instant writ application stands disposed of.
