RANCHI, India, Dec. 31 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 1:
1. Heard the parties.
2. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Chandil P.S. Case No. 58/2025, for the offences registered under Section 309(4) of the B.N.S., 2023, pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Chandil.
3. On 07.04.2025, two unknown persons hired the Scorpio of the informant for going to Mango, Tata Jamshedpur. On the way, the accused persons overpowered the informant and decamped away with the said vehicle. During the course of investigation, it transpired that on the same day at about 7:35 P.M., Scorpio of the informant was seized by villagers of the village Birigora at NH-33 and the petitioner was found driving the said vehicle.
4. It was submitted that seizure-cum-production list of the vehicle before the police does not bear the signature of the petitioner.
5. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage.
