RANCHI, India, Dec. 14 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 14:
1. This writ petitioner has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding upon the Respondent No.2 to dispose of the Revision Application bearing R.M.R. No. 78 of 2022-23 (Santosh Sharma Vs. Surendra Sharma & Ors.) filed by the petitioner, wherein the petitioner prayed for setting aside the order with regard to appointment of "Village Headman" (Gram Pradhan) in Bandra Mouza, a Pradhani Mouza in the district of Dumka, passed by the Deputy Commissioner, Dumka vide order dated 17.12.2021 in Rev. Misc. (PA) Case No. 2/2021-22, whereby the order dated 17.12.2020 in PA Case No. 16/18-19 passed by S.D.O., Dumka (Respondent No.4) was upheld.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that this writ petition may be disposed of by giving direction to the Respondent No.2 to dispose of R.M.R. No. 78 of 2022-23 (Santosh Sharma Vs. Surendra Sharma & Ors.).
3. Learned counsel for the respondent State has raised no objection.
4. Under the circumstances, the Divisional Commissioner, Santhal Pargana Division, Dumka, i.e. Respondent No. 2 is directed to dispose of the said R.M.R. No. 78 of 2022-23 (Santosh Sharma Vs. Surendra Sharma & Ors.) in accordance with law, by giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to both the sides, expeditiously, preferably within a period of Twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
5. Thus, this W.P.(C) No. 5876 of 2025 is disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
