RANCHI, India, Nov. 18 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Oct. 17:

I.A. No.12226 of 2025

1. Heard Mr. Sahil, learned counsel for the appellant. None appears on behalf of the State.

2. This application has been preferred by the appellant for condoning the delay of 43 days in filing of this appeal. Having been satisfied with the reasons assigned in the instant application, the same is allowed and the delay of 43 days in filing this appeal is hereby, condoned.

3. I.A. No.12226 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Cr. Appeal (DB) No.1241 of 2025

4. This appeal is directed against the order dated 20.06.2025 passed in Misc. Cr. Application No.1100 of 2025 in connection with S.T. No.33 of 2025 arising out of Piparwar P.S. Case No.34 of 2024 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Chatra, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

5. It has been alleged that four persons were apprehended by the police and from their possession, various incriminating articles were recovered. So far as the present appellant is concerned, from his possession, a country made pistol and three live cartridges were recovered.

6. Learned counsel submits that in the similar circumstances, one of the co-accused, Aman Lakra @ Bauna has been granted bail by this Court in Cr. Appeal (DB) No.794 of 2025. The appellant appears to be in custody since 05.09.2024.

7. On consideration of the aforesaid facts, we, while setting aside the order dated 20.06.2025 passed in Misc. Cr. Application No.1100 of 2025 in connection with S.T. No.33 of 2025 arising out of Piparwar P.S. Case No.34 of 2024, direct the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Chatra.

8. This appeal is allowed.
