JHARKHAND HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY V/S GOPAL PANDEY AND ORS.

RANCHI, India, Sept. 15 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on aUG. 18:

Mr. Alok Lal, learned counsel for the appellant, submits that the compensation, awarded in this case, has been paid in full in compliance of the order passed by this Court in M.A. No. 75 of 2014 in terms of the order dated 12.11.2021 and hence, the Misc. Appeal has become infructuous.

Accordingly, this Misc. Appeal stands dismissed as infructuous.

It goes without saying that the impugned award, including the right of recovery as given in para-10 in favour of Insurance Company, will not be affected.

Pending I.A., if any, stands disposed of.
