RANCHI, India, March 27 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Feb. 24:
1. Heard Ms. Kaushiki Mishra, learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P.
2. This appeal is directed against the order dated 02.01.2026 passed in B.P. No.569 of 2025, arising out of Latehar P.S. Case No. 284 of 2022, by the learned Addl. Sessions Judge-III, Latehar, whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.
3. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant has been implicated only on the basis of suspicion and the fact that while fleeing away the extremists were taking the name of each other. Learned counsel submits that in similar circumstances, one of the co-accused namely Jitendra Singh @ Bajrangi Ji has been granted bail by this Court in Cr. A. (DB) No. 1520 of 2025. It has further been submitted that the appellant is in custody since 29.07.2025.
4. Learned A.P.P. though has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant but has not disputed the aforesaid facts.
5. Regard being had to the above, we while setting aside the order dated 02.01.2026 passed in B.P. No.569 of 2025, arising out of Latehar P.S. Case No. 284 of 2022, by the learned Addl. Sessions Judge-III, Latehar, direct the appellant to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M., Latehar.
6. Accordingly, this appeal stands allowed and disposed of.
