RANCHI, India, Jan. 23 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 22:

1. Learned counsel for the parties are present.

2. The learned counsels for the parties have jointly submitted that the parties have settled their dispute outside the court and consequently a joint compromise petition has been filed through I.A. No. 17044 of 2025. They submit that the appeal be disposed of in terms of the compromise. They have in particular referred to paragraph 3 to 25 and have submitted that in paragraph 25, the details of the property have been mentioned with regard to the respective parties.

3. During the course of the hearing, it transpired that vide order dated 28.11.2025, I.A. No. 12470 of 2025 seeking exemption from filing substitution petition with respect to deceased respondent nos. 5 to 16 was allowed at the risk of the parties and subject to any objection that may be raised by one or the other person. Accordingly, deceased respondent nos. 5 to 16 have not been substituted in the present case and the prayer seeking exemption from substitution has been allowed vide order dated 28.11.2025 subject to any objection that may be raised by one or the other party.

4. In the aforesaid circumstances, the learned counsel for the appellants is directed to delete the name of respondent nos. 5 to 16 from the cause title.

5. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, this appeal is disposed of in terms of the compromise and will bind the parties to the compromise. I.A. No. 17044 of 2025 i.e. joint compromise petition shall form a part of the decree.

6. Office to prepare a decree.

7. Office to permanently retain I.A. No. 17044 of 2025 along with the entire order-sheet of this case.

8. Let this order along with the decree be communicated to the learned court concerned through FAX/e-mail.
