JABALPUR, India, Dec. 19 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Nov. 19:
The petitioner, in the guise of a Public Interest Litigation, seeks directions against certain individuals, namely 19 families residing in residential houses constructed by Northern Coalfields Ltd. The petition contains prayer for disconnection of electricity to these houses and a direction to the State to demolish the houses and construct an English Medium School on the land. It appears that the PIL is a motivated petition filed to seek eviction of these 19 families. In case, the owner of the land is aggrieved, the said owner may initiate appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
We are of the view that the subject petition is not a bona fide petition, thus we decline to entertain the same. The petition is accordingly, dismissed.
