JABALPUR, India, Oct. 9 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Sept. 9:

1. The subject petition impugns an order 01.02.2024 and 07.04.2024, whereby the respondent No.2, the appellate committee of State Bar Council had passed certain orders against the petitioner, who claim to be the elected president of Bar Association, Dabra.

2. The election in issue was for the term 17.06.2023 till 17.06.2025. By an interim order dated 06.05.2024, the petitioner was permitted to continue as the President of the Bar Association until further orders. The interim protection granted to the petitioner has continued till date.

3. We are informed that term of the executive appointed on 17.06.2023 has expired on 17.06.2025.

4. It is agreed between the parties that fresh election shall be notified for the association in accordance with rules and the election shall be conducted and result declared within a period of two months from today.

5. In view of the above, this petition is disposed of directing the Bar Association, Dabra to notify and conduct the election for the new elected executive body from 2025 - 2027 within a period of two months from today.

6. Necessary compliance be done in accordance with the byelaws of the Association.
