MADHYA PRADESH HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON NITIN SANCHETI V/S UNION OF INDIA AND OTHERS

JABALPUR, India, Jan. 3 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Dec. 2:

Petitioner impugns order dated 17.09.2025 on the ground that the Additional Collector had no jurisdiction to decide the objections of the petitioner under Section 3 G(5) of the National Highways Act, 1956.

We note that the impugned order dated 17.09.2025 merely places the file before the Collector for further proceedings.

Since the final order has not been passed on the objections of the petitioner and the matter is pending consideration before the Collector who is competent authority, we dispose of this petition with the direction to the Collector to decide the same in accordance with law after giving appropriate opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

The petition is accordinglydisposed of in the above terms.
