MADHYA PRADESH HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON ROHIT TIWARI V/S THE STATE OF MADHYA PRADESH AND OTHERS

JABALPUR, India, Jan. 3 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Dec. 2:

1. Appellant impugns order dated 10.10.2025 to the limited extent that a cost of Rs.10,000/- has been imposed on the appellant.

2. Learned counsel for appellant submits that appellant is an agriculturist and had filed the subject petition. He submits that on the very first date, when Court was not inclined, he sought leave to withdraw the writ petition however, while permitting withdrawal, cost of Rs.10,000/- has been imposed.

3. Keeping in view the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, the impugned order dated 10.10.2025 is modified to the extent that instead of cost of Rs.10,000/- appellant shall deposit cost of Rs.2500/- with the High Court Bar Association as directed by order dated 10.10.2025.

4. Appeal is accordingly disposed of in the above terms.
