JABALPUR, India, Oct. 9 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Sept. 10:

The grievance raised by the petitioner is that construction of road over bridge has been commenced without following the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

Learned counsel for petitioners submits that though notices have been given to 212 land owners, however, as per petitioners, more are likely to be effected.

Learned counsel for respondent appearing on advance notice submits that as per his instructions, every land owner whose land is likely to be effected by construction of road over bridge has been duly identified and proceedings under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 has been initiated. He assures that if there is any other individual whose land is likely to be effected, appropriate proceedings under the said Act shall be taken.

In view of the said assurance, this petition is disposed of binding the respondent to assurance given to the Court.
