IMPHAL, India, April 26 -- Manipur High Court issued the following order on March 25:
Mr. N. Zequeson, learned counsel appeared for the petitioner; Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appeared for the respondent nos. 1 & 2; and Mrs. I. Bimola, learned counsel appeared for the respondent. 3.
The present writ petition has been filed assailing the memorandum dated 19.02.2025 issued by the Department of Personal and Administrative Reforms (DP), Government of Manipur by which a departmental enquiry has been initiated against the petitioner. During the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner filed an application registered as MC(WP(C)) No. 183 of 2026 with a prayer for disposing of the writ petition by issuing a direction to the respondents to complete the departmental enquiry initiated against the petition within a stipulated period subject to the condition that on failure to complete the said departmental proceeding initiated against the petitioner within the stipulated period fixed by this Court, the said department enquiry shall stands abated.
Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appearing for the respondent nos. 1 & 2 seeks a week time to get instructions with regard to the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner in the above mention misc. application.
As prayed for by the learned GA, list these cases again on 02.04.2026.
A copy of this order be furnished to all the counsel appearing for the parties, through Whatsapp/Email during the course of the day for doing the needful.
