India, July 30 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
On July 27 , 2026 , the Hindi Salahkar Samiti of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting , chaired by Dr. L. Murugan , Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting , met at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre , New Delhi . The purpose of the meeting was to review and further promote the progressive use of Hindi in the Ministry and its affiliated media units .
In accordance with the Government 's Official Language Policy , special emphasis was placed on the widespread use of Hindi in official correspondence , administration , digital communications , publications , and public relations activities . Committee members presented their suggestions for further strengthening the use of Hindi in various media units of the Ministry , including Prasar Bharati , Doordarshan , All India Radio , Press Information Bureau , Central Bureau of Communications , and other subordinate media units .
अपने संबोधन में सूचना और प्रसारण राज्य मंत्री डॉ. एल. मुरुगन ने राजभाषा नीति के प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन के लिए मंत्रालय द्वारा किए जा रहे प्रयासों की सराहना की। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को दैनिक कार्यों में हिंदी के प्रयोग को और बढ़ाने के लिए नवाचारपूर्ण उपाय अपनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
इस अवसर पर सूचना और प्रसारण सचिव श्री चंचल कुमार ने अपने स्वागत भाषण में मंत्रालय में सरकारी कामकाज में हिंदी के अधिकाधिक प्रयोग के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई। बैठक की कार्यवाही का शुभारंभ वरिष्ठ आर्थिक सलाहकार श्री रबिंद्र कुमार जेना ने किया, जबकि बैठक का संचालन अपर सचिव श्री प्रभात ने किया।
समिति के सदस्यों ने कहा कि सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय जनसंचार के विविध माध्यमों के जरिए देश के विकास, विचार, साहित्य और संस्कृति से संबंधित सूचनाएं जन-जन तक पहुंचाने का महत्वपूर्ण कार्य कर रहा है। ऐसे में मंत्रालय की गतिविधियों में हिंदी के प्रभावी प्रयोग का विशेष महत्व है। उन्होंने मंत्रालय में हिंदी में कार्य करने के लिए एआई आधारित हिंदी टूल्स तथा अन्य आधुनिक प्रौद्योगिकियों के अधिकाधिक उपयोग पर भी जोर दिया।
The meeting was attended by Hon'ble Members of Parliament Shri Ujjwal Raman Singh , Shri Haribhai Patel , Ms. Lata Wankhede and Shri V. Vijayendra , along with Committee members Shri Shubhendu Shekhar Awasthi , Shri Ashwinbhai Khushaldas Banker , Smt . G.S. Saroja , Shri Yashpal Singh Sisodia , Smt . Saroj Sharma , Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan , Smt . G. Jayanthi Sharma , Shri Ashok Bajaj and officials of the Ministry and its subordinate media units .
The Hindi Salahkar Samiti is a high - level committee which functions as an advisory body to provide guidance to the Ministries regarding effective implementation of the Official Language Policy and progressive use of Hindi in official work .
