The Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Coal met today, November 12, 2025, at the Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Minister of Coal and Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy. Present at the meeting were Honorable Members of Parliament, other members, the Secretary (Coal) and senior officials of the Ministry of Coal, and representatives from the Department of Official Language.

In his address, the Honorable Minister of Coal and Mines stated that Hindi is not just a language, but a symbol of our cultural heritage, national unity, and a means of connecting people. The simplicity and ease of Hindi language gives meaning to expression. Today, Hindi's acceptance has increased globally. Continuous efforts are being made to make Hindi an official language of the UN. The Ministry and its offices are making concerted efforts to achieve the official language goals set by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs. The Honorable Minister also specifically mentioned that the Ministry of Coal will implement the valuable suggestions received from the Honorable Members.

The meeting also showcased the achievements of the Ministry of Coal and its controlled offices in the field of official language through a PPT. Furthermore, the Honorable Minister of Coal and Mines presented awards to company heads and official language officers for their " prestige of devotion " to the official language. The Honorable Minister of Coal and Mines also released the Ministry of Coal's first magazine , " Abhivyakti , " dedicated to the golden jubilee of the establishment of the Official Language Department. The Ministry will make every effort to implement the suggestions made by the Honorable members of the Committee.
