On the occasion of World Hindi Day, the third meeting of the Joint Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying was held in New Delhi today under the chairmanship of Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lallan Singh, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Panchayati Raj. On this occasion, the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and all members of the Committee were welcomed by senior officials present. Following this, presentations were made by both departments of the Ministry, the Department of Fisheries and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, regarding their official language implementation efforts. The Committee members commended the progress and efforts made by them. On this occasion, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, and Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, jointly released the Hindi magazines of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying and the Department of Fisheries, namely, Surabhi, Matsya Bharti, and Matsya Kirti, and the departmental glossary.
On this occasion, Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh said that Hindi is a powerful language and we should rise above our inferiority complex and use it as much as possible in government and private work, only then we will be able to take it forward.
Minister of State Prof. SP Singh Baghel said in his address that for the betterment of Hindi, we will have to start using it from our homes itself, only then the coming generation will know its importance.
In their address, the departmental ministers congratulated the concerned officials for the better implementation of the official language by the Fisheries Department and the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department and appealed for maximum use of the official language Hindi in the daily official work of the Ministry.
During the detailed deliberations on the agenda, all the members of the Committee appreciated the efforts and endeavors made for the implementation of the Official Language and presented their detailed suggestions and views on promoting the use of Hindi in the Ministry and achieving the objectives. In particular, all the non-official members appreciated the progress made in the use of Hindi in the Department of Fisheries and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying as compared to the previous meeting.
