SHILLONG, India, April 26 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment/order on March 26:
Mr. P. Nongbri, learned counsel for the petitioner has produced copy of the order dated 16.03.2026 issued by the Regional Director (NER), Guwahati, the same is brought on record and marked as Annexure-X.
The learned counsel submits that the matter involving the petitioner company herein has been taken up by the Regional Director (NER) on 16.03.2026, the relevant direction therein being the following:
"Taking into consideration the above submissions of the applicants and ROC, Guwahati and the Presenting Officer, the default/violation u/s 148(6) of the Companies Act, 2013 for FY 2014-15 is compounded upon payment of compounding fee within 15 days hereof as mentioned below:

Under such circumstances, the learned counsel prays that some time may be allowed for the petitioner company to deposit the amount as demanded, and consequently, for the respondent/ROC to take necessary steps for withdrawal of the complaint before the Trial Court, whereupon, this petition can be closed with relevant observations.
As prayed for, list this matter after 3(three) weeks.
