SHILLONG, India, April 26 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment/order on March 26:
Heard Mr. B.Pathak, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Issue notice.
Dr. N.Mozika, learned DSGI assisted by Ms. C.Jala, learned counsel is present on behalf of all the respondents, as such, no further notice is required.
The grievance of the writ petitioner is that he had applied for the post of Warrant Officer/Pharmacist in the EWS (Economic Weaker Section) category. However, though qualified and selected in all respects, his name was not included in the impugned final select list on account of the adoption of the respondents of a wrong reservation procedure in the preparation of the select list, wherein the candidates who had qualified for the general category were instead put in the EWS quota.
Accordingly, as a prima facie case has been made out, it is further provided that if the said post is yet to be filled up, the same shall not be acted upon or filled up by the respondents till the next date. List this matter on 13-04-2026.
