India, Dec. 13 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
The sixth women's group from Tamil Nadu, part of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0, reached Hanuman Ghat, where all the women bathed in the Ganges, worshipped Mother Ganga, and sought her blessings for happiness and prosperity. After bathing in the Ganges, the group visited and worshipped the ancient temples located on the ghat. Everyone was given information about the temples' history, divinity, and grandeur.
The Tamil delegation then visited the home of the great poet Subramania Bharati at Hanuman Ghat. They met with his family members there. The group members displayed a keen curiosity. They also visited the library located near Subramania Bharati's home and obtained valuable information.
After visiting Subramania Bharati's home, the group proceeded to the Kanchi Matha, where they were briefed on the monastery's history. The group of women were enthralled by the South Indian-style temples in Kashi.
Muthulakshmi, who came from Tamil Nadu, said, "This morning we went to the Ganges Ghats in Varanasi. Bathing in the Ganges purified our hearts. We visited the temples there and were surprised to see that Kashi also has temples like those in South India. We also visited the Vishwanath Temple. We never imagined that Baba's darshan would be so easy. Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who thought so much for the women of South India. Today, we women are visiting Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Kashi."
