ORISSA HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SRIKANT NAIK V/S STATE OF ODISHA

CUTTACK, India, March 4 -- Orissa High Court issued the following order on Feb. 3:

1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

2. This application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by the Petitioner with the following prayer:

"It is therefore humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to allow this application U/s. 482 of Cr.P.C. and set-aside the order dated 23.02.2024 passed in Criminal Revision No. 13 of 2023 by the learned Addl, Sessions Judge, Angul; And further allow the petitioner's application U/s. 457 of Cr.P.C. and direct the 10 for interim release of Mahindra Pick-up Van bearing Regd. No. 0D-19W-1142, Chassis No. MA1ZU2TNKN1M18520 and Engine No. TNN1M28445; And further pass any order(s)/direction(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper;"

5. Learned counsel for the State waives of notice on behalf of the Opposite Party. Let an extra copy of the CRLMC be served on her in order to enable her to file reply.
