PATNA HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON KUMAR SHIVAM SHEKHAR V/S THE STATE OF BIHAR

PATNA, India, Feb. 21 -- Patna High Court issued the following judgment on Feb. 17:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents-State.

2. It is a matter of compassionate appointment.

3. Father of the petitioner namely Sunil Paswan died in harness on 12.12.2017 while he was working as a Clerk in Sub-Divisional Office, Daudnagar, Aurangabad. Being a son of the deceased, the petitioner made his application for grant of compassionate appointment on 10.12.2022. Till date no decision has been taken by the respondent on the application submitted by the petitioner. Therefore, it is prayed by the counsel that the respondent may be directed to consider the claim of the petitioner and pass reasoned order accordingly.
