Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma met Union Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Krishi Bhawan on Monday. During the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed various issues related to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with the Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said during the meeting that, on the suggestion of Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, we have decided to include eight low-productivity districts of Rajasthan in the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana. Additionally, under the " Per Drop More Crop " micro-irrigation scheme, Rajasthan has been decided to increase the amount from 20% to 40% and to continue the system of irrigation tanks in the state.
Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the meeting also featured extensive discussions on the fertilizer requirement in Rajasthan, the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, and the PM Janman Yojana in the state. Meaningful decisions were also made on farmer-friendly issues such as including the fencing program in the sub-plans of the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission and approving grants for barbed wire fencing under the Pulses sub-plan.
The Union Agriculture Minister said that he had also discussed with Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma the expeditious implementation of the Pulse Self-Reliance Mission and the PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana. He said that with the cooperation of the state, the Agriculture Ministry is working diligently to ensure that farmers receive the maximum benefit from both schemes.
After the meeting, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "I congratulate Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma for his excellent work for the development of Rajasthan and the welfare of the people. He has launched numerous schemes for the welfare of farmers and has also effectively implemented Government of India schemes."
The meeting was attended by several senior officials, including the Secretaries of the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministries. Following the meeting, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma thanked Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and stated that with the support of the central government, our government is fully committed to agricultural advancement and farmer welfare.
