Call Setup Success Rate: Airtel, BSNL, RJIL and VIL have 99.01%, 77.71%, 100.00% and 98.78%, call setup success rate respectively in Auto-selection mode (5G/4G/3G/2G).

Data Download performance (Overall): Average download speed of Airtel (5G/4G/2G) is 120.64 Mbps, BSNL (4G/3G/2G) is 12.59 Mbps, RJIL (5G/4G) is 188.58 Mbps and VIL (4G/2G) is 18.95 Mbps.

Call Setup Time: Airtel, BSNL, RJIL & VIL have call setup time of 1.40, 1.83, 0.72 and 0.83 seconds respectively in Auto-selection mode (5G/4G/3G/2G).

Data Upload performance (Overall): Average upload speed of Airtel (5G/4G/2G) is 18.40 Mbps, BSNL (4G/3G/2G) is 4.17 Mbps, RJIL (5G/4G) is 21.94 Mbps and VIL (4G/2G) is 9.53 Mbps.

Drop Call Rate: Airtel, BSNL, RJIL and VIL have drop call rate of 0.00%, 2.51%, 0.49% and 1.72% respectively in Auto-selection mode (5G/4G/3G/2G).

Latency (Overall): Airtel, BSNL, RJIL and VIL 50th percentile latency is 45.57 ms, 48.81 ms, 29.52 ms & 33.58 ms respectively.

Call Silence/Mute Rate: Airtel, BSNL, RJIL and VIL have silence call rate of 0.64%, 8.93%, 1.33% and 1.00% respectively in packet switched network (4G/5G).

Data performance - Hotspots (in Mbps):

Mean Opinion Score (MOS): Airtel, BSNL, RJIL and VIL have average MOS of 3.98, 3.24, 4.38 and 3.97 respectively.

Release of findings of Independent Drive Tests (IDT)

5G D/L: 133.69 5G U/L: 26.46

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has conducted Independent Drive Tests (IDT) covering Guna & Ashoknagar Cities and nearby areas and Guna to Bhopal Highway of MP LSA during the month of January - February '2026. The IDT have been designed to capture real-world mobile network performance across diverse usage environments -Urban zones, hotspots, public transport hubs etc.

BSNL- 4G D/L: 8.73 4G U/L: 3.42

TRAI, through its appointed agency, conducted detailed drive tests of 196.7 Kms of City test, 201.2 Kms of Highway test and 1.5 kms of walk test in Guna & Ashoknagar Cities and Guna to Bhopal Highway during 30th January to 02nd February '2026. Technologies evaluated included 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, reflecting the service experience of users across multiple handset capabilities. The findings of IDT have been intimated to all the TSPs concerned for further necessary action.

* The poor Signal Strength in auto-selection mode (5G/4G/3G/2G) during voice testing has been observed as 1.02%, 4.51%, 1.35% & 3.38% in the City IDT route in case of Airtel, BSNL, RJIL & VIL respectively.

* The poor Signal Strength in auto-selection mode (5G/4G/3G/2G) during data testing has been observed as 8.23%, 7.75%, 10.41% & 7.55% in the City IDT route in case of Airtel, BSNL, RJIL & VIL respectively.

* The poor Signal Strength in auto-selection mode (5G/4G/3G/2G) during voice testing has been observed in 3.57%, 31.57%, 1.36% & 8.14% of the Highway IDT route in case of Airtel, BSNL, RJIL & VIL respectively.

* The poor Signal Strength in auto-selection mode (5G/4G/3G/2G) during data testing has been observed in 16.90%, 42.13%, 11.44% & 12.16% of the Highway IDT route in case of Airtel, BSNL, RJIL & VIL respectively.
