TRIPURA HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON SRI NIKHIL CHANDRA DAS V/S THE STATE OF TRIPURA AND 4 ORS.

AGARTALA, India, June 5 -- Tripura High Court issued the following order/judgement on May 4:

Heard Learned Counsel, Ms. Pallavi Debbarma appearing on behalf of the petitioner. Also heard Learned Senior GA, Mr. Pradyumna Gautam appearing on behalf of the respondents-State.

It is the case of the petitioner that by memorandum dated 28.02.2013 issued by the Executive Engineer, PWD (R & B), Kanchanpur, the petitioner was engaged as Daily Rated Worker. Thereafter, by a memorandum dated 24.04.2014, a sum of Rs.75,820/- was granted as wages in favour of the petitioner. It is the case of the petitioner that inspite of submitting representation his service has not been regularized till today by the respondent authority. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking regularization.

Issue notice upon the respondents.

Since Learned Senior GA, Mr. Pradyumna Gautam appears and accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents, issuance of formal notice is waived.

List the matter on 25.07.2026. In the meantime, the respondents may file their reply, if they so desire.
