AGARTALA, India, Feb. 10 -- Tripura High Court issued the following order/judgement on Jan. 9:

1. This present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:-

"(i) ISSUE RULE calling upon the Respondent to show cause as to why a Writ of mandamus, directing the Respondent to forthwith release the Petitioner's funds amounting to INR 7 Crores along with pay interest from date of maturity until actual release at appropriate banking rates, which are being unlawfully withheld should not be issued;

(ii) After hearing the parties, be pleased to make the Rules absolute in terms of Prayer Nos. (i) above;

AND/OR

iii) Any other relief(s) as to this Hon'ble High Court may deem fit and proper

2. It is seen from the record that petitioner has submitted several request(s)/representation(s) before the respondent dated 27th September, 2024, 7th November, 2024 and 12th, December, 2024. But the same remains unattended till date.

3. In view of the above facts, without going into the merits of the case, this present writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the respondent to decide the matter in the light of the aforesaid request(s)/representation(s) made by the petitioner in accordance with law, within a period of 2(two) months from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner herein.

4. With the above observations and directions, this present writ petition stands disposed of.

As a sequel, stay if any stands vacated. Pending application(s), if any also stands closed.
