Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah today greeted the countrymen on the occasion of ' Makar Sankranti ' , a festival of energy , enthusiasm and excitement . The Home Minister also wished the people of Karnataka on Makar Sankranti , the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Bhogi , Sankranti and Kanuma , the people of Gujarat on Uttarayan and the people of Assam on Magh Bihu.
In a post on X , the Union Home Minister said , " Heartiest greetings to everyone on the occasion of ' Makar Sankranti ' , a festival of energy , enthusiasm and excitement . May this festival bring immense happiness and prosperity in the lives of all of you. "
In another post, Shri Amit Shah said, "Best wishes to all our sisters and brothers in Karnataka on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. I pray that this holy festival brings new joy and strengthens our relationships . I wish everyone good health and prosperity."
