Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari held a review meeting with the officials of the Central and State Governments on Monday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi regarding the National Highway project worth crores of rupees being carried out in Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari held a review meeting in Madhya Pradesh regarding 45 ongoing national highway projects totaling 1,832 km in length, costing Rs. 29,278 crore. The meeting had positive discussions on the alignment of the 6- lane access-controlled greenfield expressway, the Atal Progress-Way (Chambal Expressway).
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav , Union Environment Minister Shri Bhupendra Yadav , Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia , Union Minister of State Shri Ajay Tamta , Union Minister of State Shri Harsh Malhotra , Speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Shri Narendra Singh Tomar , Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department Minister Shri Rakesh Singh and officials of the Central and State Government also participated in this meeting.
Also, Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari ji reviewed 25 National Highway projects with a total length of 656 km, costing Rs 13,783 crore, with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami ji , Union Ministers of State Shri Ajay Tamta ji , Shri Harsh Malhotra ji and officials of the Central and State Governments in Uttarakhand.
The meeting reviewed the Chardham project, which connects Uttarakhand's four major pilgrimage sites - Kedarnath , Badrinath , Yamunotri, and Gangotri - by road. It also reviewed the status of landslide prevention work and maintenance of national highway stretches.
