Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, addressed the closing ceremony of the Bastar Olympics in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh today. Several dignitaries, including Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah said that we had decided to eliminate red terror from the entire country before March 31, 2026, and today we are standing on this brink in Bastar Olympics-2025. He said that by November-December next year, by the time of Bastar Olympics-2026, red terror will have ended from all over India and Chhattisgarh, and Naxal-free Bastar will be moving forward.
श्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में हमने यह संकल्प लिया है कि पूरे बस्तर और भारत को नक्सलमुक्त कराना है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें यहीं नहीं रुकना बल्कि कांकेर, कोंडागांव, बस्तर, सुकमा, बीजापुर, नारायणपुर और दंतेवाड़ा के 7 ज़िलों का संभाग बस्तर, दिसंबर 2030 दिसंबर तक देश के सबसे अधिक विकसित आदिवासी संभाग बनेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि बस्तर के हर व्यक्ति को रहने के लिए घर, बिजली, शौचालय, नल से पीने का पानी, गैस सिलिंडर, 5 किलो अनाज और 5 लाख तक का मुफ्त इलाज, बस्तर के घर घर में पहुचाने का संकल्प हमारी सरकार का संकल्प है। श्री शाह ने कहा कि हमने अगले पांच साल में बस्तर को देश का सबसे विकसित आदिवासी संभाग बनाने का संकल्प लिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि इसमें प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में भारत सरकार और श्री विष्णुदेव साय जी के नेतृत्व में छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर बस्तर को विकसित बस्तर बनाने के लिए मिलकर आगे बढ़ेंगे।
केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्री ने कहा कि बस्तर का हर गांव सड़क से जुड़ेगा, वहां बिजली होगी, 5 किलोमीटर के क्षेत्र में बैंकिंग सुविधाएं होंगी और सबसे घने PHC / CHC का नेटवर्क बनाने का काम भी हमारी सरकार करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि छत्तीसगढ़ में वन उपज की प्रोसेसिंग के लिए कोऑपरेटिव आधार पर यूनिट्स लगाए जाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि बस्तर के सातों ज़िले सभी आदिवासी ज़िलों में सबसे अधिक दूध उत्पादन कर डेयरी के माध्यम से अपनी आय बढ़ाने वाले ज़िले बनेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि बस्तर में नए उद्योग, उच्च शिक्षा की व्यवस्था, भारत में सबसे अच्छा स्पोर्ट्स संकुल और अत्याधुनिक अस्पताल की व्यवस्था भी हम करेंगे। श्री शाह ने कहा कि कुपोषण के लिए भी यहां विशेष स्कीम चलाई जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि जिन्होंने आत्मसमर्पण किया है और जो नक्सलवाद के कारण घायल हुए हैं, उनके लिए एक बहुत आकर्षक पुनर्वसन योजना भी हम लाएंगे। गृह मंत्री ने कहा कि हमारा लक्ष्य है कि नक्सलवाद समाप्त हो क्योंकि नक्सलवादी इस क्षेत्र के विकास पर नाग बनकर फन फैलाए बैठे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि नक्सलवाद समाप्त होने के साथ ही इस क्षेत्र में विकास की एक नई शुरूआत होगी और प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी और श्री विष्णुदेव जी के नेतृत्व में यह सबसे विकसित क्षेत्र बनेगा।
श्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि बस्तर ओलंपिक-2025 में सात ज़िलों की सात टीमें और एक टीम आत्मसमर्पण करने वाले नक्सलियों की थी। उन्होंने कहा कि जब 700 से अधिक सरेंडर्ड नक्सलियों ने इन खेलों में भाग लिया तो यह देखकर बहुत अच्छा लगा। उन्होंने कहा कि नक्सलवाद के झांसे में आकर उनका पूरा जीवन तबाह हो जाता और हथियार डालकर मुख्यधारा में आने वाले ऐसे 700 से अधिक युवा आज खेल के रास्ते पर आए हैं। श्री शाह ने दोहराया कि 31 मार्च, 2026 को यह देश नक्सलवाद से मुक्त हो जाएगा। उन्होंने हिंसा में लिप्त नक्सलियों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि अब भी गुमराह होकर हमारे ही जो लोग हाथ में हथियार लेकर बैठे हैं, वो हथियार डाल दें, पुनर्वसन नीति का फायदा उठाएं, अपने और अपने परिवार के कल्याण के बारे में सोचें और विकसित बस्तर के संकल्प के साथ जुड़ जाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि नक्सलवाद से किसी का भला नहीं होता, न हथियार उठाने वाले लोगों का, न आदिवासियों और न सुरक्षाबलों का भला होता है। उन्होंने कहा कि सिर्फ शांति ही विकास का रास्ता प्रशस्त कर सकती है।

Shri Amit Shah said that recently, the Chhattisgarh government has worked to preserve the traditional songs of the state by building a modern recording studio. He added that many traditional festivals and celebrations that were on the verge of extinction under the shadow of Naxalism's red terror have also been promoted. He said that a team of officials from the Sports Authority of India has come to recognize the talent of the athletes who participated in the Bastar Olympics. Shri Shah said that after recognizing the talent of these athletes, our government has made arrangements to take Bastar athletes to the upcoming Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games. Shri Shah said that last year, 165,000 athletes participated in the Bastar Olympics, while this year, 391,000 athletes participated, a nearly two-and-a-half-fold increase and a nearly threefold increase in the participation of women. He said that seeing this enthusiasm, Prime Minister Modi has selected Chhattisgarh for the Khelo India Tribal Games in the coming days.
The Union Home Minister stated that Bastar is changing, embracing a future rather than fear. Where once the sound of gunfire was heard, school bells are ringing. Where road construction was a dream, railway tracks and highways are being laid. Where once slogans of "Lal Salaam" were raised, "Bharat Mata ki Jai" (Bharat Mata ki Jai) are now heard. He stated that we are all committed to a developed Bastar. He stated that the Government of India and the Chhattisgarh government did not aim to kill Naxalites in encounters, as more than 2,000 Naxalite youth have surrendered. He stated that the leaders of our tribal community have played a significant role in this, adding that their guidance has both comforted and emboldened Naxalite youth. The Home Minister appealed to community leaders and social workers to persuade those who still carry weapons to return to the mainstream of society.
