NAINITAL, India, March 5 -- Uttarakhand High Court issued the following judgment/order on Feb. 3:
1. Instant short term bail application has been preferred by the applicant no.2, Bhagat Singh alias Bhagat on account of the marriage of his daughter scheduled to be solemnized on 05.02.2026 at Siddhanpur Grant No.11, P.O. Hajratpur, District Kheri, Uttar Pradesh.
2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.
3. Learned State Counsel does not deny the said marriage.
4. Without adverting further on any aspect of the matter, purely on the humanitarian ground, this Court is of the view that, the applicant/appellant no.2 Bhagat Singh alias Bhagat may be granted short term bail for a period of 10 days from the date of his release to attend the marriage of his daughter.
5. Accordingly, the applicant/appellant no.2, Bhagat Singh alias Bhagat shall be enlarged on short term bail only for a period of 10 days from the date of his release on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each of the like amount to the satisfaction of the court concerned. It is further directed that, on expiry of 10 days, the applicant/appellant shall surrender before the court concerned and intimation to this effect shall also be given to this Court.
6. The short term bail application stands disposed of, accordingly.
