Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Annapurna Devi participated in the welcome programme of Anganwadi sisters and officials of Women and Child Development Department of various states and interacted with them.

Smt. Annapurna Devi said on the social media platform 'X', "On the occasion of 77th Republic Day, I got the opportunity to participate in the welcome programme of our Anganwadi sisters and the officials of Women and Child Development Department of various states who had come to the capital New Delhi from all over the country and interacted with them."

"Under the able leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Anganwadi sisters are playing a vital role in empowering the nation's children and realizing the vision of a developed India. Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, Smt. Savitri Thakur, along with senior officials of the Ministry, were also present on this occasion."

On the occasion of 26th January 2026, Anganwadi sisters from across the country visited the Prime Minister's Museum.
